Today, Chip and I went down to Point Lobos. We had gorgeous tourist weather – meaning bright sun and warm temperatures. So, it was next the best day for shooting. However, this is time that the baby seals were born. This is Blue Fish Cove and there were at six baby seals playing in the surf. These guys were having a hard time hauling out onto the beach. Eventually, one of the mother seals came over to help out.
At Whaler’s Cove, we saw two babies chasing a duck all over the cove. For some reason, the duck did not want to fly away. Instead, these seals herded that little duck all over the place just like I have seen border collies do with sheep.
