This is from today’s quick hike out in Sunol. This is the lull between the rains.

Tried to go out to Sunol with Maizy this afternoon. However, I gave up halfway there when I realized we were going to be completely soaked and very cold. Instead, dug another out of the archives from last week’s outing.

One more from the Sunol visit earlier this week. This one is a stitched image and is not stitched perfectly yet.

Another infrared shot from the parking lot out in Sunol.

Another one from my visit this week to Sunol. The white on the opposite bank is the bright green new growth. It registers as a glowing white in infrared.

One from visit yesterday to Sunol. The light was really gorgeous. Driving in I thought it was going to be dull and gray.

Decided to post another tonite. This was one of the last shots of the evening taken in the parking lot. I was standing with my tripod in front of my car hood.

Yup, another from my visit last weekend to Sunol. I just returned home from visiting Sunol again this evening. This visit was really nice. I had the park virtually to myself. There is a storm coming in so there is a lot of cloud cover and soft light. I am going to process my images tonite. I only shot infrared this evening.

This lovely sculpture is in the lobby of the Cantor Arts Center. This is Styx by Deborah Butterfield. Styx is a bronze casting of driftwood. Here is a link to better images of Deborah’s work. I only had my trusty 50mm lens on the camera and could not get a wide enough view.
Just for fun, here is another shot of Styx. Down the hallway is a first century statue of Venus.

What a surprise. I just had an itch to make a montage and another for the Urban Woods series resulted. The base image is the Cantor Arts Center with a shot from Yosemite.
