This is another in my fuzzy watercolor phase.
This work is loosely inspired by child art prodigy, Marla Olmstead, age 4. Yes, she is 4 years old and yes, I love her paintings. See http://www.marlaolmstead.com/mainwork.html.

While visiting Sunol, I became fascinated with the leaves. I kept getting closer and closer. Finally, I pulled out the macro lens. These were very small leaves and that is a single blade of grass wrapped around them.

Another on my black and white kick. This was a grab shot taken in the Music Concourse of Golden Gate park. The bike owners were skateboarding out of frame.

This is was a quick grab shot on my walk through Golden Gate Park to the deYoung Museum. I have gotten the yen for doing B&W photography again.

I have taken this picture before but could not resist. This is just after the trailhead out in Sunol. This road is for trucks and horses to ford the creek. Usually, the creek is low enough that I can cross without getting my feet wet. However, it was still a little too deep right now.

These are a few fun images made by tossing my camera around. This one was some dark wicker placemats and a blue globe. Somehow, that turned into this image.

Today, I expected to go out shooting but instead just visited a lot of locations and had a nice outing instead. This image is another for "Urban Woods" even though I thought I was done with the series.

For this pinhole, I added a vignette blur and oddly I like the effect better. I guess the extra blur makes the center sharper.

After our recent workshop together, Aphra and I went out for drinks at the local restaurant, Skates. I had my pinhole lens cap and so we started playing around with images. The camera was propped carefully onto the table and ISO cranked up to 3200. This is the best of the bunch. I was not going to post but Aphra was intrigued by the image. Maybe because it was her glass.

This is the same base image as yesterday’s image. Of course, the resulting image has a totally different feel. At this point, I am no longer in active development for "Urban Woods". You may see an image or two being posted. Per my portfolio class, I have decided to start a portfolio called "Meditation Spots". This work is much more like my work before Urban Woods or Grungy Flowers took over.
