Weird Windshield

Weird Windshield

I am back from a fabulous week spent in Canada attending Freeman Patterson’s and Andre Gallant’s photo workshop. I had a marvelous time and a lot of new things to share. This image was my ‘weirdest’ one. After some polling, I decided to submit it for the daily review. Both, Freeman and Andre, immediately thought it was too busy and then realized that it worked. Neither could analyze the image (which I will share with future posts). At the end of the workshop, they make a poster and book containing one image from each attendee. I gave Andre the choice of 10 images and this is the one that was selected.

  1. Dear Dorothy,
I love this shot; too busy?!! I’d love this one in my den, which is my private (Hah!) room. There’s an old roll-top desk, that’s a little too beaten-up. I imqagine some poor guy with a green visor slaving away. Bartleby the Scrivner. Above that desk is a shelf with many old,old signed baseballs, A relative of mine is in the Hall of Fame. This photo, with 80 year old baseballs deliberately choatic on that shelf, with this image behind…magnifico. When you start selling Please give me a chance to buy it.
My favorite of your essays is “Woodland Quiet”, among that group, some of your most daring work, is an ordinary shot that I just love, “Summer Rains #2”.
Please stop by the site, which is now doing quite well, to see how I’ve used your work. Please don’t hesitate to tell me if I’m overdoing it. I don’t want to abuse your generosity. Please tell me if you’re getting any more traffic to your site. http://www.chronicpainlifestyle.com

PS. I love to write. You may use, without restriction, anything that I’ve emailed to you about your work. If you ever need an essay, I’d be thrilled to help out. Just ask.
