Obscura

As part of the Magic in the Mix show at PhotoCentral, I will be showing the Obscura work for the first time. If you have been following the blog, you may think aren’t those “Grungy Flowers”. Yes, they are and newly renamed to Obscura. Obscura is latin for dark. The prints are floated transfers which is a new, unique process that has results somewhat like collodion prints with many interesting flaws.

  2. Hi Allce –
It is great to hear from you and a boost! I am right now working away to finish my pieces before I turn them over on Saturday morning.
I look forward to seeing you at the opening and will see what you think when you see them in person.
    Take care and thank you!

  3. Hi Dorothy,
I’m intrigued by this floated transfer work–I love the look of these images–flowers yet more.
I’d love to take your workshop, but since I live in New Jersey I cannot. I wonder if you could direct me to some place online where this method is explained?
    Thanks.
