This is one taken from the Berkeley Botanical Gardens. I did not like the straight up image because not enough emphasis was one the iris. So, had heard about the wonders of LAB color mode and decided to expriment. Found that the ‘b’ channel had good contrast between the foreground and background. Did various blending using the ‘b’ channel and the original color image for this final result.

I raided the archives for this one. Nope, my laptop is still not fixed. Dell promised the new video card by Thursday. However the web site says that the part is still in transit to the carrier. Hmmm… I hope that it arrives soon.

Originally, this was an almost successful shot of the aspens in the Santa Fe National Forest. I flipped and merged the image and applied about 30 filtering layers. Photoshop hung and I lost the image. This is the reproduced version.

One from our visit to Guadalupe River Walk last weekend. I have not been feeling very energetic this week so have not been out shooting recently. I fiddled this one and tried out the Nik Mignight Green filter.

This one is probably the result of waking up in the middle of the nite and not being to get back to sleep. It is a combo of an infrared marshes shot (there is a tiny egret in the middle of the left-hand third) and a rusty gear panorama. Of course, layered and tweaked.

Try posting this one again. Re-worked the scan until I have somthing that looks like a charcoal sketch.

After a bad work week, last week, and a bad start to this week, I decided to fiddle an image. This is a lens baby shot of blooming sorrel taken a month or so ago. Not very exciting shot by itself so I just started fiddling. Not sure why everything is going orange lately.
