Uvas Canyon

This one has sat in the camera for a few days. It was taken on New Years eve. Later that day, we adopted a new little dog named Maizy Girl through the wonderful Ohlone Humane Society.  She is about 2 years old and is mostly black with white socks on her feet and a white chest blaze. She has silky longish hair, standup ears and a curly tail. We call her Monkey Face because of all her expressions. After a little review, I am almost certain that she is a purebred Papillon although she was labeled a Pomeranian mix.  Her pictures may be up for a while on Petfinder.

Backlit Oaks

This is the last of New Year’s Day photos from Sunol. Earlier in the day, I was remarking that all my infrared photos were taken in soft light (open shade). Mainly because I go out to Sunol after work and the valley is already shaded by the time that I arrive. Well, this one is very different and shows dramatic backlighting.

Today, we went out on a hike to Little Yosemite in Sunol. There were a lot of folks out probably for their New Year’s resolution and the beautiful weather.

A few days ago, I blew the dust off my infrared camera and took about 6 shots. This is one of them. I am about done with my drive-by portfolio which I will get around to posting. Who know what direction the new year will bring?

Niles Canyon

Today, Mother, Chip and I went out to Sunol. We took the scenic route through Niles Canyon so that I could shoot more drive-bys for my portfolio. This one is probably my least detailed but I like the hopeful mood.
